What is a favorite memory from this season?

I have to go with the memory that was decades in the making.

It’s no secret that the Seth character in Kimberly Akimbo is essentially me at sixteen—the anagrams, the Elvish, the anxious kid with the weird sense of humor—that’s exactly who I was in high school.

The brilliant Johnny Gallagher originated the role in the play over twenty years ago. As a playwright, it’s hard to describe how peculiar it feels to watch an actor play a version of you.
