What is a favorite memory from this season?

We had just finished the final run-through of New York, New York in the rehearsal room at Open Jar Studios. It was a Saturday morning in late February, and we were still wearing COVID masks. Tomorrow, tech would begin at the St. James. But today everything was still rolling plywood panels, makeshift platforms, and free-standing doors. For me, the time in the rehearsal room is the most joyous part of any project. It’s a closed-door space where everything is still possible. A new line. A different transition. Another bar of music.
