Jan/Feb 2019

This edition of The Dramatist is all about community. Valina Hasu Houston explores “The Burden of History Denied in Writing for Social Justice,” Josh Gershick discusses Making a Place at the Table for Differently Abled Writers, and Santo Marabella considers the Stage Writer as an Agent of Change. The issue also includes Ralph Sevush and Doug Wright's keynote speeches from the 2018 DG National Conference. In addition, Christopher Demos-Brown responds to questions about The Craft, Theresa Rebeck answers Ten Questions on being a writer, and Nikkole Salter explains “Why I Joined the Guild.”

THE DRAMATIST is made possible by funding from the Council of the Dramatists Guild of America, a generous gift from the JOHN LOGAN FOUNDATION through a grant from the Dramatists Guild Foundation, and contributions from Guild members LIKE YOU.
