Lucy Simon:  Thank you. I miss being here, really.

David Kirshenbaum:  It’s sort of amazing that no one has gotten to a Doctor Zhivago musical before. Whose idea was it?

Lucy Simon
Lucy Simon

was perhaps best known for composing the music to the Broadway musical The Secret Garden. She also wrote the music to Doctor Zhivago and contributed songs to A...My Name is Alice. She began her career as a folksinger/songwriter alongside her sister Carly Simon. The recipient of a Grammy Award for her childrens record In Harmony, she was also nominated for a Tony Award and a Drama Desk Award.
