Kentucky: Roots of the Bluegrass New Play Award
Kentucky Theatre Association hosted its twelfth annual Roots of the Bluegrass New Play Award ceremony in November, awarding nine Kentucky playwrights with plaques and cash prizes in three playwriting categories. The nine winners were chosen from 75 total submissions which were adjudicated by sixteen different theatre professionals from around the state. ROTB was born because of an anonymous donation given to support and promote Kentucky playwrights, and it has seen several of its recipients go on to publication and production.
