The pandemic certainly brought our region’s theatre scene to its knees, but like theatre folks everywhere, our community proved resilient. One of the first events to go fully online was the Boston Theater Marathon (BTM), an annual fundraiser for the Theatre Community Benevolent Fund (TCBF), which provides emergency relief to members of the Greater Boston Theatre Community. This aid was needed more than ever, with so many out of work.

Patrick Gabridge
Patrick Gabridge

is a playwright, novelist, screenwriter, and producer. His plays, which have been produced in every state and fifteen countries, include Mox Nox, Drift, Lab Rats, Blood on the Snow, Distant Neighbors, Chore Monkeys, and Blinders. He’s been a Playwriting Fellow with the Huntington Theatre Company and has received fellowships from the Boston Foundation/Brother Thomas Fund and the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and he was the artist-in-residence at Mt. Auburn Cemetery. He’s the producing artistic director of Plays in Place, a company specializing in creating site-specific work for museums and historic sites.

John Minigan
John Minigan

’s Tall Tales from Blackburn Tavern, commissioned by Gloucester Stage Company, premieres in 2023. His adaptation of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow premiered at Greater Boston Stage in 2022, and Queen of Sad Mischance won the 2022 Judith Royer Award. Andrea Lepcio

is a playwright who lives in Maine, where she teaches yoga and does personal training when she’s not writing.

Joseph M. Paprzycki

is an author of over sixty plays and screenplays including LAST RITES, TENNESSEE'S FINAL CURTAIN, UNDERSTUDIES, FORTUNE COOKIES, EXPRESS TRACKS, and YOUTH IN AMERICA. He was born and raised in Camden, New Jersey where five of his plays and one screenplay are set.
