Another entire season has passed with theatremakers navigating COVID. Masks or no masks? Proof of vaccination required? Is a COVID compliance officer needed? In spite of the continued challenges, theatre is surviving. The lucky ones saw shows in person; those with endurance attended more virtual theatre, which continues to get more innovative. Writers kept writing, getting published and receiving awards. Not a typical year, but another theatre season is in the books. (Is there such a thing as ‘typical season’ anymore?)
