Here in San Antonio, we’ve had some canceled productions (including at least two debuts of new work) to remind us that the pandemic is still with us.

Despite the setbacks, we’ve had some real promising steps forward that will hopefully develop local writers and their work and feature them more in our local spaces.

William Mohammad Razavi

(he/him) is the San Antonio Area Ambassador for the Dramatists Guild and teaches at Trinity University and Our Lady of the Lake University. His plays include 27 Short Plays About Being Murdered in a Hotel by Abba and The Next-To-Last Flight of Amelia Earhart.

Terrance Brooks Boykin

is an American playwright and poet. His plays include Rebirth in the Garden, Wrestling with Untitled, and The Private Life. Boykin has published several articles in the areas of art and culture in LGBTQIA publications. He currently supports playwrights in Dallas/Fort Worth as the Regional Representative for the Dramatists Guild.
