Perhaps it is no surprise that Washington, DC—a monumental city inextricably linked to and defined by history—would be the crucible for new plays based on historical people, places, and events. Last season, the past came alive in several world premieres in the DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Here’s just a few:
